How do I setup a New Employee in Checkpro?
Setting up a new employee (teller) in CheckPro is not much different than setting up a new customer. There are, however, a couple of differences to be aware of.
- Employees are stored under the social 000-00-####, where #### is the last 4 digits of the employee's social security number.
- Customer status must be set to "E" for employee.
- An employee must also be given a teller ID and passcode.
The following steps will guide you through setting up a new employee in CheckPro.
- Go into File Maintenance > Customers
- Setup the employee in the Customer Master using "000-00-" plus the last 4 digits of the employees social security number (example 000-00-9061).
- Make sure to set the customer status field to "E" for Employee.
- Go into File Maintenance > Tables
- For the Table ID, enter the last 4 digits of the employee's social security number.
- You should be prompted with the "COPY FROM" prompt; Key in YOUR teller ID.
- Change the name to the new employee and set the pass-code (under the line) to the new employee's desired passcode.
- Don't forget to press PAGE DOWN when complete to save the new passcode.
