VSI Wedge is an application that streams the data input from the Mini MICR USB Check Reader and sends it to the Keyboard output for use with CheckPro and LoanPro.
Requirments
Setting up VSI Wedge
- Install the USB drivers for the Mini MICR prior to setting up VSI Wedge.
- Click Start then Control Panel
- If in Category View, select Performance and Maintenance (if in Classic View, skip this step)
- Double-click or select System
- Select the Hardware Tab
- Click the Device Manager button
- Expand Ports (COM & LPT) by clicking the + sign to the left
- Make a note of the COM port that the Mini MICR device is using
- example: Mini MICR (COM6) means that the Mini MICR Check Reader is using COM6.
- Close the Device Manager window, and cancel System Settings.
- If you received a VSI Wedge CD-Rom, place it in your computer.
- The installation program should start automatically.
- If it doesn't, open the CD-ROM drive in Windows Explorer and double-click Setup to start the installation.
- If you did not receive an installation CD, Download it here.
- Unzip the files to a temporary folder and run setup to install.
- Note: if you don't already have the .NET v2.0 framework installed, setup will prompt you to download and install it. You must choose Accept when prompted.
- When the installation is complete, the VSI Wedge software will start automatically.
- If it doesn't, click Start, All Programs, V Systems Inc, VSI Wedge.
- Select the COM Port you noted above and click the Enable button.
- Check the Load on Startup and Enable on Startup options as desired.
- Important - The VSI Wedge Software must be running and Enabled in order to use the Mini MICR Check Reader with CheckPro or LoanPro.
Your Mini MICR is now ready for use with CheckPro and LoanPro!
